BACP Accredited Psychotherapist | EMDR Practitioner | Clinical Supervisor | Coach
Sessions available online and in Twickenham

Hi, I'm Emma
I’m a BACP accredited psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner, clinical supervisor, and coach with over 15 years of experience supporting adults through trauma, anxiety, burnout, chronic illness, neurodivergence, grief, and major life transitions.
My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. Alongside my background in psychology and psychotherapy, I also bring lived experience of chronic illness and neurodivergence, which deepens the care, understanding, and sensitivity I bring to supporting people through both everyday challenges and more significant periods of struggle or change.
I offer therapy, EMDR, coaching, and clinical supervision online and in Twickenham for adults seeking support that is compassionate, grounded, and genuinely attuned — whether that means making sense of the past, navigating the present, or finding a more sustainable way forward.
My approach
I offer both therapy and coaching, depending on the kind of support you are looking for.
Therapy can provide space for reflection, emotional processing, and deeper exploration of the experiences, patterns, or relationships that may be affecting your wellbeing.
Coaching is more practical and forward-focused, helping you build clarity, confidence, and more sustainable ways of moving forward.
While they are different forms of support, both are shaped by the same approach: warmth, thoughtfulness, collaboration, and respect for your pace, capacity, and individual needs.
Whether you come looking for therapy or coaching, my aim is to offer a space that feels grounded, genuinely understanding, and responsive to who you are.
Lived experience
and understanding
Alongside my training, I bring lived experience of chronic illness and neurodivergence to this work.
What that means in practice is that I understand things that are hard to convey to someone who hasn't experienced them: that energy and capacity aren't fixed, that everyday life can cost far more than it looks, and that the gap between how someone appears and how they're actually doing can be enormous.
It also means I think carefully about pacing, about burnout, and about what it means to move through a world that wasn't designed with your needs in mind.
My lived experience doesn't replace professional knowledge — but it does deepen the understanding I bring, and it means some things don't need explaining.

What working with me may involve
Whether you come for therapy or coaching, the work is shaped around you, your needs, and your circumstances.
For some people, that may mean space to reflect more deeply on emotions, patterns, or past experiences. For others, it may mean practical support, clearer direction, and more sustainable ways of moving forward.
There is no pressure to arrive with everything already figured out. My role is to offer a supportive, thoughtful space where we can begin from where you are.
Professional
background
I have over 15 years of experience supporting adults through trauma, anxiety, burnout, chronic illness, neurodivergence, grief, and major life transitions.
My background spans charities, emotional support services, crisis support, private practice, and workplace-related settings, giving me experience of supporting people not only with emotional and psychological distress, but also with the impact these difficulties can have on confidence, capacity, work, and everyday life.
Alongside my psychotherapy work, I also coach neurodivergent professionals and people living with chronic illness or disability, helping them navigate burnout, life transitions, workplace pressures, and more sustainable ways of working and living.
My practice is supported by ongoing CPD and professional development, which helps me continue evolving my work in ways that are thoughtful, current, and responsive to the people I support.
